Cons. $1000.00, Conveys All that certain Messuage, Lot, Piece or Parcel of land, lying and being in the village of Coopers Plains, State of New York, and bounded as follows, viz: on the north by highway from Coopers Plains to Bath; on the east by lands of the estate of Hiram Potter; on the south by the Erie Railway; on the west by lands of Joseph Palmer; it being same land deeded to Charles D. Ross by John Goff, deed dated April 23rd, 1870. This deed made in pursuance of contract between Mrs. Josephine Ross and D. W. Barkley, contract dated March 26th, 1874. |

| First.-
I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. Second.- I give, devise and bequeath the use of all my estates, both real and personal, to my wife, Angeline for and during the term of her natural life, and at her decease I give, devise and bequeath the said estates to my daughters Edna Barkley and Alice Barkley to them, their heirs and assigns forever. Lastly, I hereby appoint my wife, Angeline Barkley, executrix of this, my last Will and Testament; hereby revoking all former wills by me made. |

Barkley for the probate of said Will, filed in Steuben Co. Surrogate's office
Oct. 9, 1905, and sworn to respectfully shows: that Daniel W. Barkley died
Sept. 28, 1905, leaving him surviving Mary Hathaway, daughter, Alberto Barkley,
son; Ella A. Peck, daughter, Alice Barkley, daughter, Edna Barkley, daughter
and Hyla Barkley, daughter and your petitioner; all of full age. State of
New York, Steuben County Clerk's Office. I have examined the general indices
in this office for Deeds, Mortgages, Leases, Lis Pendens, Sheriff's Certicates,
Affidavits of Mortgage Sale, and Mortgages to the U. S. Load Commissioners,
deposited in this office affecting the premises described in Abstract Number
1 and devised to Edna Barkley, Alice Barkley & Angeline Barkley in number
2 as follows: against Daniel W. Barkley from July 19-1881 to date Angeline
Barkley, Alice Barkley, & Edna Barkley from Sept 28-1905 to date and find
only as above set forth. I have also searched for Mechanic's Liens, Collector's
Bonds and Conditional Sales, affecting said property, and for Judgements
for ten years last past, and find only as above set forth. Witness my hand and the Seal of said County, at Bath, N.Y., this 12th day of Jany 1927. (illegible signature) Clerk |
