Sarah CRAWFORD b. 1763 Feb 11⁶⁵⁵. d. 1826 Sep 19⁶⁵⁵.

Married⁶⁵⁵ 1779 Dec 7⁶⁵⁵.

Thomas was bequeathed a portion of the remainder of his father James' personal estate in James' will¹³⁵⁹, signed 27 Oct 1789. Thomas may have witnessed his brother James' will¹²²⁶ - among the witnesses (signed 20 Feb 1815)- "Tho's Barkley." Thomas' will¹³⁶², signed 8 Feb 1822 and proved 18 March 1822, mentions wife Sarah; sons Josiah, Thomas, James, David, and both Jonathan and John; daughters Eliza, Jane and Margaret; and Emily and Sarah Crawford, daughters of Archibald Crawford (husband of Thomas' daughter Mary). Son William Moffat Barkley, listed by Moffat⁶⁵⁵, and by Moore²⁵¹⁶, is not mentioned. William died young in 1800. Moffat⁶⁵⁵ has a death date for Thomas (father) of 1821.
