Family of John MILLSPAUGH and Jane (m36) BARKLEY

John MILLSPAUGH b. 1768 (guess). d. 1804 Feb 28~1366.
Jane (m36) BARKLEY b. 1771 (guess)655. d. after 1799 May 21149.

Married655.

John's birthyear is a guess based on wife Jane's birth year.

Moffat lists the children of John and Jane as William, Nathaniel and Mowbray. In John's will1366, dated Jan 24, 1804, and proved 28 Feb, 1804, he mentions sons Daniel Graham, Robert, John Johnston, Andrew A, William Barkley, Nathaniel Milton and Mobery Smith; daughters Mary and Sarah. No wife is specifically mentioned. He appointed executors, "all of County Orange," son Daniel Graham, his brothers Adam and Peter Milspaugh, Hugh Barkley and Benjamin Sears. His will was witnessed by John Sammons, Jr, Abraham Catwell and Jane Barkley. Executor Hugh Barkley and witness Jane Barkley may be John's brother-in-law and his brother-in-law's wife.

From this information, it is assumed John was married (at least once) previous to his marriage to Jane and, with his first or previous wife or wives.

Jane was bequeathed1149 $35 by her brother James W, 2 May 1799. That will does not mention whether she was married.
