Rush and Anna appear as husband and wife in 1920. The marriage date is estimated from son Weir's birthdate (Sep 1912) as listed on his headstone⁸⁴⁰. Weir's headstone also has inscribed "Beloved Son of Anna Huntsman Stevens and Rush B Stevens, MD," identifying Anna's maiden name.

In a 2016 conversation between Don Veazie (grand nephew of Beth Stevens) and Beth, Beth related that Rush and Anna were married in Evanston, WY. At the time, a hazing practice of "shiivaree" was popular - the groom was "kidnapped" and taken 20 or more miles away and had to find his way back home. Sometimes that practice resulted in injury, or even death, to the groom. Rush was the only doctor in the area, and they decided to go to Wyoming for their marriage, avoiding the risk.

The death index⁵²⁷ entry for Rush lists his middle name. In 1905, Rush is listed as a medical student.

Child 2. Beth

In Jan (enumeration date), 1920, Beth was age 1y 5m. In a conversation (Jul 23, 2016) between Don Veazie (grand nephew) and Beth (on her 98th birthday), Beth related that she was not given a middle name at birth. At the age of 15, one of her teachers insisted Beth fill in a middle name on a form, even after Beth had explained she had no middle name. Beth entered "Anne" as her mother was called "Annie," but Beth didn't like the sound of "Beth Annie." When Beth told her mother about the incident, her mother was extremely irritated. Nevertheless, Beth was often called Beth Anne thereafter. That conversation is also the source of Beth's birthdate.
