In 1860¹³⁴⁵, in the family of Clinton and Margaret Marsh, a male child, age 14, is listed as "James." Barclay doesn't otherwise appear.

Barclay S Marsh, who died in his home¹³⁵⁴, was a teacher, school superintendant and, later in life, a sewing machine and piano merchant in Port Jervis. Barclay died just a few months¹³⁵⁷ after his brother Alanson, both at Barclay's home in Port Jervis.

Until sometime after 1910, Margaret lived with her parents. In 1920¹³⁵³, her occupation is listed as librarian. In 1930¹⁶¹³, although her age is listed as 40, a Margaret B Marsh, is listed as a librarian, living single in an apartment in Poughkeepsie, interestingly on Barclay Street.
