In 1910, Truman and Alte (or Alle) E Funk are listed as married 5 years, with a daughter Margaret. Truman is an automobile salesman.

Truman's WWI draft registration card221, dated Sept 9, 1918, lists his full name. He lists his nearest relative as Aeta A Funk with the address 1512 Grand Ave, Davenport, Iowa. He was the manager for the tractor department of the Moline Plow Co, Moline, Illinois.

In 1920, Truman, age 42, is widowed and working as a mechanical engineer for a tractor factory.

Connelley1404 mentions Truman: "Since 1916 Mr. [Charles Otto] Funk has done much to demonstrate the feasibility of the farm tractor and has distributed a number of these machines over Pawnee County. The machine of which he has the agency is an invention of his brother, Truman Funk. This tractor was acquired by the Moline Plow Company at Moline, Illinois, and Mr. [Truman] Funk is superintendent of the factory where the tractors are produced."

Truman was quite active as an inventor for half of the twentieth century, earlier for the Moline Tractor Company of Illinois, later for Yard-Man of Michigan and, perhaps, others. An internet search for "truman funk patent" or similar will reveal dozens of applications and patents for items such as seed-planting implements, air-cleaning equipment, forklifts, floor sweepers, etc.

In 1918221, Truman's nearest relative is Aeta. In 19201416, Truman is listed as widowed.

Strangely, after Aeta's apparent death between 1918 and 1920, Margaret Funk, age 13, born Oklahoma, father born Kansas, mother born Missouri, is listed1920 in the household of Edward Lewis in the Bronx, while her father is in Moline, Illinois. Margaret's relationship to head-of-household is "friend."
