Hugh and Alice were married by John E Manning, M E clergyman. Witnesses: Frances M Shafer, Marjorie E Willis, S Fay Veazie. The description of their wedding4483 mentions that nearly 200 family relatives and friends attended the wedding at the bride's home. Alice's Maid of Honor was her sister Frances Shafer. Hugh's best man was his Fay Veazie, his brother. Miss Marjorie Willis of Rochester was Alice's bridesmaid. Following the wedding, Mr and Mrs Veazie went to New York city and Washington, DC, for a few days.

The Evening Leader, Jun 30, 1923, reported that the general sales force of the Corning Glass Works, with executives and manufacturing committee would hold a sales conference for a week at Anderson Island, Henderson Harbor, Lake Ontario. Among those listed to be making the trip was Hugh Veazie. In 1930, Hugh is listed as a glass worker, likely at the Corning (NY) Glass Works.
