18701241, Edward is listed in the family of Moffitt and Kate Barkley. In 18801288, he is listed as "Geo. E." Barkley.
The 1900 census for Graham Co., Arizona Territory, precinct 3, includes a "G. E." or "G. G." Barkley, single, occupation miner, born August, 1860, in Michigan; his father was born in New York and mother in Canada (English). Certainly not conclusive, this may well be George, the son of Moffat and Kate Barkley.
After his marriage to Alice, he farmed in Montana.
Alice married first (unkn) Hyer, by whom she had several children.
In 19301679, George is listed as a widower. Alice may be the "Alice May Barkley" whose headstone appears in Whitefish Cemetery (died May 4, 1929).
