Helen's maiden name is given in son Alfred's California Death Index entry⁵²⁷

Alfred's middle name appears³¹⁴⁹ on his death certificate.

In the 1910 census²⁹⁵, Alfred (single) is living with his mother "Emerline" in the household of Thomas Glynn and Thomas' sister Elizabeth.

By 1920, he had married Helen Winslow. He, his wife and son Alfred, Jr, resided¹⁷¹² in Highland Park, Michigan. His occupation is listed that year as "none." In 1930, Alfred was a traffic manager, and, in 1940, a traffic manager for an engine bearing manufacturer.

Alfred's 1918 WWI draft registration card²²¹ lists his nearest relative as his wife Helen W Veazie. They resided at 217 Euclid, East Detroit, Mich. The California Death index entry⁵²⁷ for son Alfred, Jr., lists his mother as "Winslow." In August, 1940, The Mancelona (MI) Herald (Aug 1, 1940) mentioned that Mr and Mrs Alfred Veazie and son Al and Mrs. Veazie's mother, "Mrs. Winchell," arrived Saturday from Detroit.

The World War II draft registration card¹⁷⁰ for son Alfred Wyman Veazie, Jr, lists his mother as "Mrs Helen Marcia Veazie."
