Sam's middle name is given in Josephine's obituary¹⁷²². In 1927 (Rolfe IA Arrow, Mar 31), Sam left his parental ("E. Veazie") home, where he had visited for some time, to resume working with a gravel crew in Aberdeen, S. D. Later that year (Rolfe IA Arrow, Dec 29, 1927) he was visitor at the home of his sister, Mrs Aaron Bishop, and family, west of town (Plover?). He then left for Miineapolis, expecting later to motor from there ot Florida.
