In the 1930 census595, he is listed as Gayne. In 19401730, he is listed as "W Gayne Veazie," stepson of George Lakin. Maryetta Lakin is listed as George's wife.

In a notice1734 of marriage licenses issued in San Mateo, CA, published March 5, 1957, is listed William Gayne Veazie of Palo Alto, age 28, and Marilyn Wagner of Menlo Park, age 21. From these records it is assumed that William Gayne Veazie is the son of Maryetta Veazie Lakin (her second marriage).

William may have been married and divorced prior to his marriage to Marilyn Wagner. The San Mateo (CA) Times, Feb 28, 1957, listed a final decree granted to "VEAZIE - Di Anne from William G."

Referencing the California Marriage Index1192, William married first Marilyn Wagner, Mar 2, 1957. He married in 1964 (his second marriage) Lavea P Kennedy, also her second marriage. Lavea was married previously to Frank A Calleros in 1962. Marilyn Wagner Veazie married second Glenn R Jackson in 1965.

William's second marriage may not have lasted. The San Mateo (CA) Times, Aug 5, 1965, reported that La Vea P Veazie had filed a divorce complaint against William G Veazie.
