Both George and Charles are blindmakers. At the time of daughter Mary's birth in 1869, George resdied in Haverhill, MA, and was a wood-turner. The marriage record for Julia and George Veazie lists her birthplace as Kirby, Vt. In 1870, following George's untimely death (age 42), Julie and daughter Mary, born just 9 months before and just 2 months before her father's death, are living in a house where, apparently, Julie is boarding several workers in a shoe factory. In 1880, she was a housekeeper with several boarders residing in the household. Julia died1774 in 1886 at the age of 55y 2d of cancer of the stomach. Her death record lists both her parents as born in Kirby, VT. Her age at death indicates a birth year of 1831, but the record of her birth is preferred.

In 1940, Mary L Veazie, age 70, no occupation listed, boarded with Mary T and Amy G Bonney on Fremont Street, Plymouth, Massachusetts.
