Ralph and Rosalind were not married. The birth record1816 for Rosalind Veazie, born 1928, lists Ralph as father, Rosalind as mother and indicates the child was illegitimate.
The 1930 census1815 lists daughter Rosalind's father as born in Massachusetts. In that census, Rosalind Veazie (mother of Rosalind) is listed as widowed.
Rosalind appears to have lead an active life. Though she was living with her parents in 1910 and 1920, in 1928 she gave birth to daughter Rosalind Veazie. Apparently1816 Rosalind and Ralph were not married at the time. In 1930, she and daughter Rosalind ( "Rosyland" for both in the census1815 ) for Washington, DC1735. Mother Rosalind was a school teacher there and lists herself as a widow. Rosalind is listed as a 1932 graduate of George Washington University, Wash., D. C. (The GW and Foggy Bottom Historical Encyclopedia, encyclopedia.gwo.edu) In 1932, Rosalind Veazie, a public school teadher, resided at 4719 Conduit Rd nw, in Tacoma, WA. She doesn't seem to appear in the 1940 census, but she lived in the Bremerton/Tacoma, Washington, area later in life. She died at the age of 91.
