Married5952 19365952 at New Jersey5952. The New Jersey Marriage Index5952 lists both Sally Veazie and Sally Sullivan, md 1936, Edward G McGlone (v27:606).

Hillman800 states Sally married by 1951, --- McGlone, as she is listed in the disposition of her father's estate that year, residing at 364 Loncoln Place, Brooklyn, NY. The 1940 census3197 has Edward and Sally V McGlone, residing Lincoln Hall, Lincoln Place, in Brooklyn. Edward was a detective policeman, working for the police department. Edward's WWI draft registration221 lists his birth date and place. Given that location and date, one finds in 1900 in Brooklyn, Edward McGlone, b Feb 1896, the son of Peter and Sarah McGlone. Peter's occupation was special police. On May 2, 1918, Edward enlisted in the U S Navy at the Navy Recruiting Station, NY, NY, and served 193 days as a Seaman 2 Class. By 1930, Edward's mother Sarah was widowed792. Edward's occupation was then a detective for the city. As mentioned above, in 1940, Edward and Sally had married and were living in Brooklyn. In 1942, Edward registered170 for the WWII draft. He worked for the New York Police Department and resided at 364 Lincoln Place, Brooklyn. The New York (NY) Age, Sat, Nov 5, 1949, listed Capt amd Mrs Edward McGlone (he was in command of the 128th precinct) among the attendees of the Fourth Annual Ball and Beauty Pageant of the Negro Press Photographers. The New York (NY) Age, Sat, Oct 28, 1950, reported that Capt Edward G McGlone of the 28th precinct was promoted to Deputy Inspector and transferred to Washington Heights.

In the 1900 census1889 for Sweden, New York, the birth date ofr Sallie B Veazie was listed as Jul 1888. A birth index entry5703 lists "Veazie (female) (born) 10 Jul (1888) in Sweden, New York. From the coincidence of the month, year and location of that entry, this is assumed to be Sallie's birth record. The marriage record1728 for Sallie and Louis Marks lists her birth place as Brockport, NY. The birth record is preferred.

Miss Sally Brown Veazie acted as flower girl1973 for her sister Shirley at her wedding. In 1910, she married1968 Louis Z Marks. They lived that same year1992 in St Louis, MO. By 1915, they had moved to New York, New York, where they lived4412 in what appears to be an apartment house at 508 W 139 st. Louis was a salesman.

In Clark Veazie's obituary1966 and during the disposition1965 of his will, worth some $79,000 (in 1928), she is mentioned as "Sallie Veazie Sullivan of Brooklyn." In the 1920 census360 Sallie V Sullivan appears as the wife of William S Sullivan. In 1930, Sallie Sullivan was living alone, still listed as married. Hillman800 states by 1951 she had married a McGlone, her surname as listed in Monroe County Surrogate Court records for the disposition of her father's estate. She died in 1985, in Dade Co., Florida. Cemetery info840 lists Sally McGlone (b 10 Jul 1888, d 17 Jul 1985) as buried in Long Island National Cemetery (Farmingdale, NY). The same plot is listed840 for Edward George McGlone (no image of headstone).
