Clifford's middle name is listed on his WWI draft registration²²¹. He lists his birthdate as Nov 11 1875 (v Nov 12 on his birth record), and lists his "brother" Charles, 273 River St, N Adams, as his nearest relative. In 1900, Clifford was a shoe cutter; in 1910, a box maker at his own shiop; in 1930, he was a folder at a textile mill; in 1940, he worked as a laborer for the WPA. At the time of his brother William's death (1951), Clifford was living in North Adams, MA. Clifford died³⁰²⁵ at the age of 78 in a (North Adams) local nursing home. He was buried in Hillside Cemetery.
