Charles Veasie and Sarah Ann Baxter were married by Miles Sanford, clergyman of North Adams.

Hillman⁸⁰⁰ provides Charles' middle name (without direct reference). Charles' primary occupation was as a carpenter and lived for many years at 12 Veazie St in North Adams, Massachusetts.

Charles enlisted³¹⁹² in Adams, MA, as a private with the First Regiment, Mass. Cavalry, Co. B, Jan 4, 1864, for a term of 3 years. In 1865, Charles is listed²⁰³⁴ in the census as a soldier. Charles died at the age of 64y 7m 13d of cancer of the tongue. He worked as a carpenter all his life. Following his death, his widow "Lizzie M Veazie" of 27 Veazie St, North Adams, MA, applied as a widow for his veterans pension, which she collected until her own death in 1917.

Other than her marriage record, Charles' Veazie's wife was known as Anne or Anna. At the time of her 1866 marriage⁴⁰⁰⁹ to Charles Veasie(sic), Sarah Ann Baxiter, age 18, was a resident of Adams, MA. Anna died at the age of 18 during the birth of Harry.

Harry died of cholera at the age of 8m 6d. His mother died giving birth to him.
