The marriage index lists Cora's mother as "Annie S Vesly."

In 1880, "R Martin" Thompson resided⁵⁴¹⁰ with his parents, Wm and J Rhoda Thompson.

In 1870, Bell is living with her parents and younger twin sisters. By 1880, her mother was widowed, the twins were not listed, and 2 younger sisters were listed. In 1882, Bell married²¹³⁹ Martin Thompson in Iowa City and they apparently moved to Kansas²¹⁴⁰ and lived with Martin's parents. He is listed as a merchant that year. In 1895, Martin does not seem to appear, but Cora is still living²¹³⁷ in Douglas, Kansas, with son Glenn, daughter Verna May, and Cora's sister Lottie Gardner.

Cora Belle Thompson, born May 6, 1865, in Iowa, died⁵²⁷ May 24, 1949, in Fresno Co., CA. Her mother's maiden name is listed as "Veasy," and her father's surname as "Gardener."
