With that information, one finds, in 1880, Lucinda Cook, wife, b NY, parents b Conn/PA, listed³⁰⁷⁵ in the household of Austin Cook. Edwin Cook, age 14, is listed as their son. Also listed is Elizabeth Bates, mother-in-law, b PA.

Her marriage to Edwin Cook is by inference as she is mentioned in the obituary³⁰⁷¹ of her brother Edward J Richards as "sister, Mrs. Jennie Cook of South Crning(sic)."

In 1900 in Caton is listed "Jennie Louise" (her g-mother's name?) Cook, wife of Edwin, b Apr 1868, married 5 years (at age 26 or 27), b NY, father b NY, mother b Maine. In 1920 in Caton is listed Jennie Cook, age 51, divorced, b NY, father b NY, mother b Maine. Lucinda Cook, mother-in-law, is living with Jennie and Elmer.

Jennie Richards Houlden is mentioned¹⁰⁶ as granddaughter of Louisa Veazie in a 1930 legal notice, establishing her marriage to (unkn) Houlden before 1930. In 1930 in South Corning is listed²¹⁷ on Bailey Creek Road, Jennie C (for Cook?) Houlden, age 62, married first at age 26. Her husband is not listed. However, the 1936 city directory¹⁷³⁵ for Corning, NY, lists Jennie Houlden on Bailey Creek road in South Corning, "wid. John." Jennie Houlden, 1869-1963, is buried in Caton, NY.
