The 1900 census, in which George appears as "nephew" in the household of George and Elizabeth Antes, lists George's birthdate as Aug 1888. His marriage record²⁰⁸ lists his parents' names, including his mother's maiden name.

In 1913, Miss Mae Richards was the secretary for the Richards family reunion⁴⁸⁹⁰, held at the home of Mr and Mrs David Marcy in Caton. Mrs Marcy was the wife of Charles Sewell, Mae's great-great-uncle.

Mae Richards marriage to John J Winters, as listed on a genealogy chart prepared by George S Veazie is supported as follows: In 1920, Caton, NY, Mae Antes, age 27, widow, is living with her parents. John Winters, age 34, wife Florence and daughter Dorothy, age 3, are living next door. Dorothy's age may indicate that John and Florence were married c 1916. In 1930, Harriet Richards, widow, b PA is next door to John J Winters, age 45, md first c. 1917, and wife Mae R (Richards?) Winters, age 37, md first c. 1916, mother b PA. Dorortha R Richards, daughter, age 5, is listed with John and Mae in 1930.
