Burton and Zora were married²²⁰⁰ by Chas S Jenkins, minister of the Gospel.
Burton Sewell is variously named "Barton," "Bert," and "Burt" in census records and newspaper articles. In 1899, the Bradford Republican reported that the principal of the Blossburg schools had been arrested for permitting Bert Sewell to attend class while his home was under quarantine for diptheria. In 1908, the Wellsboro Agitator reported that "Bert Sewell" and others had strangled a man in Cross Fork and made off with $15 and a revolver, leaving him for dead. The perpetrators were locked up in Lock Haven. The man had revived and been found by his neighbors. On Friday, Nov 8, 1912, the Troy Gazette-Register reported that Mr. and Mrs. Amos Coe of Harrison Valley were in town due to the death of their son-in-law, Burton Sewell.

Prior to her marriage in 1900, Zora is living with her parents.

In 1920, following the death of her husband, she is working as an offset typographer, listed in the household of Charles E Burgher, newspaper editor.

In 1920, she married⁴⁹⁹¹ Walter Sweet of Knoxville, PA.

In 1920, after his father's death, Russell is living with his maternal grandparents, Amos and Ella Coe. In 1930, Russell is living with his mother and stepfather, Walter Sweet. The (Corning) Evening Leader (Dec 12, 1940 p 3) under News Personals reports that "Russell Sewell has gone to Frankfort, N.Y., where he is employed by Joseph Bush in a milk plant."
