Leslie Vesey was a Methodist minister, serving primarily in Ohio. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, and graduated Boston University School of Theology in 1922. His obituary mentions wife Mertie, son Dr Wesley J, and daughters Mrs Evelyn Bastian and Mrs Margaret Blackman.

Announcements^{4461 4964} of the celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of Rev and Mrs Leslie D Vesey mention that they had served the Methodist churches throughout western Ohio. Rev Vesey had pastorates in Providence, RI; Findlay, Jamestown, West Carrollton, Lebanon, Celina, Bowling Green, Fremont and Zanesville, OH. At the time of those 1972 newspaper articles, Rev Mr Vesey was an associate pastor of the Euclid Ave United Methodist Church in East Toledo.
