Married 1966 Feb 18. As Don and Paula were both serving in the Air Force at the time of their marriage, they chose Feb 18 because it was a payday. ( info coutesy of Paula )
Both Don and Paula served our country in the US Air Force. Don was promoted to Staff Sergeant during the period Dec 1, 1967 through May 1, 1968. Following his service in the U. S. Air Force, Don attended The Ohio State University, majoring in forestry. While at OSU, he received honors for the College of Agriculture and was initiated into Gamma Sigma Delta, Honor Society of Agriculture.
In Nov, 1965, Airman 3rd Class, Paula J Meier received the ATC (Air Technical Command) honor graduate award following completion of an administrative specialist course at Amarillo AFB (Texas). She was promoted to Airman Second Class about Jun 1966. Paula was promoted to Airman First Class (U.S.A.F., 3772 Intructor Squadron) effective Jun 1, 1967.
