Leo Rivette is listed as the (deceased) spouse of Fannie E Rivette (dau of Wm Barkley and --- Smith) on Fannie's death certificate2560
The marriage record for Leo and Fanny lists his name as "Leo." In 1910, he is enumerated as Joseph. In 1910, both Leo (enumerated as Joseph) and Fanny were working at the Michigan Soldiers Home in Grand Rapids. They had been married just 2 months. Joseph was a laborer and Fanny was a housekeeper. Conveniently, marginal notations in that census record were given - for Fanny "For husband see page 5 line 93" and for Joseph "for wife see page 1 line 32."
Fanny lived with her parents in 1870 and 1880. In 1894, she and her sister Dena were living in Algoma, MI. In 1910, she and her husband of 2 months Joseph Rivette (Leo) are both working at the Michigan Soldiers Home in Grand Rapids. In 1920, probably after her husband's death, Fanny Rivette was living with her sister Dena (Barkley) Hill, Dena's husband Frank, and Frank and Dena's daughter Carola. In 1930, Fanny and Dena, both widows, were living in Houston in the house where Dena would (eventually) pass away. Fannie's death certificate lists her birthdate as Jan 6. The informant for her death information2560 was Mrs D B Hill of Houstin, TX, likely her sister Dena Barkley Hill. No evidence for children was found.
