Abram was a granite cutter by occupation. In 1910, Abram, a granite cutter in a stone shed, was listed as divorced. In 1917, he died of pulmonary tuberculosis at the Central Maine Sanatorium. He was buried in Fairfield, ME. His death record lists his father as Henry Lindsey, born in Lubec, Maine; mother unknown. His parents may be the Henry and Margaret Linsey listed in Lubec, Maine, in 1850. Henry was born New Brunswick, and Margaret was born Ireland. His death record lists his age at death as 62y 11m 3d, which implies a birthdate of December of 1854. The 1880 and 1910 censuses indicate (from his age) 1852.
In 1860, "Elmira," age 1, is listed with Joseph and Lucy. In 1870, Adelie J, age 10, is listed. She married Abram Lindsey in 1878. In 1880, she and Abram Lindsey, a granite cutter, were living in Vinalhaven, Maine. By 1900, it is probable that Abram and Addie were separated, as Addie was living in her own household in Vinalhaven, and Abram and sons were living in Milford, Massachusetts. A year later, Addie (Morton) Lindsey married in Vinalhaven, Howard D Larkin. By 1910, Addie and Howard had divorced. Addie J Larkin continued to reside in Vinalhaven, ME, though 1930.
