In the 1900census, Henry and Florence are listed as married 15 years.

His death certificate²⁵⁷⁹ lists his birth date as Sep 5, 1849.

Henry's middle initial is listed in the marriage record¹⁵²³ for his marriage to Nettie Wright.. At the time of that marriage, he was resident in Cedar Springs, MI. His full name is listed in the birth record¹⁴⁵⁵ for his daughter Florence Maude Barkley. Henry's death certificate²⁵⁷⁹ lists his parents' names, including his mother's maiden name. He died of cancer of the prostate and bladder. The informant was Florence Barkley. Henry was a farmer by trade.

Florence's maiden name is listed in the marriage record for her son Kirk to Eva Fowler. Henry Barkley's marriage to Florence may have been a marriage of convenience to both. In 1884, Florence Cramer was a servant in the household of Henry, his wife Nettie and the three child remaining at home. About a year after Henry's second wife Nettie died, Henry married Florence in Battle Creek, MI. After Henry's death, Florence (widow) and son "Curtis" lived in 1910 in Grand Rapids. In that census, Florence listed herself as the mother of 8, 8 still living. As other records indicate she and Henry had 4 children, she is likely counting some of Henry's children by previous wives. On 30 Aug, 1916, Florence married¹⁵²³ second, in Grand Rapids, Louis Adams, the second marriage for both. Louis was born ~1869 in Williamston, MI, to John A Adams and Cornelia Rice. Her son Kirk D Barkley was listed as a witness for that marriage. Apparently that marriage did not work out as Florence, still named Barkley, is listed in 1920 as divorced. On Mar 30, 1922, she married¹⁵²³ in Battle Creek, James A Robbins, born ~1865 in Indiana to James H Robbins and Cynthia Quinn. They lived in Battle Creek the rest of their lives. James Robbins died in 1939. Florence died in 1947. Both are buried in Prairie Home Cemetery, Climax, MI.

It's difficult to determine Florence's parents as little information can be found. In marriage records, she lists only her father as John Kramer, mother's name "unknown." It appears from census records that her father and mother were born in Indiana and Pennsylvania respectively.
