Married⁴⁰⁷⁹ 1891 Aug 26⁴⁰⁷⁹ at Manhattan, NY⁴⁰⁷⁹. The marriage index entry⁴⁰⁷⁹ for Frank and Inez lists their parents' names, including their mothers' maiden names. In 1900, Frank and Inez had been married 9 years.

Frank's full name and birthdate are listed on his WWI draft registration²²¹ card. A birth record²⁶³⁵ for an unnamed male "Vanzant," born 28 Jun 1873, Hoboken, NJ, lists the child's father as "Ruthven Vanzant." He lived with his parents in 1880. Around 1891, he married Inez Taylor. Francis' occupation was bookkeeper/clerk for a tobacco company. His WWI draft registration²²¹ identifies that company as P Lorillard.

Inez' maiden name is listed in the birth records for children Edna, Inez and Marjorie. In addition, in 1900, Mary L Taylor, "sister-in-law," and Eugene Taylor, "brother-in-law," are listed in Frank and Inez' household. The identity of Inez' parents is circumstantial. In 1880, an Inez Taylor, born ~1873 in Maryland, is listed as the daughter of Zachary and Sarah Taylor in New York City. In the 1895 State Census for New Jersey, the image isn't entirely clear. However, it appears that Zachary and Sarah Taylor are living in the same dwelling with Francis, Inez and Edna Van Zandt. A bit more clear in that record is Charles Taylor. In 1880, Inez Taylor's brother Charles H Taylor is also listed.

Child 2. Inez

In 1900, a daughter of Frank and Inez listed as "Estelle" has a birthdate of Apr 1895. That is the source of Inez' middle name.

Child 3. Francis (Frank)

Frank is listed in several records as "Jr." His middle name is assumed to be the same as that of his father.
