Lucy and Henry were married by Rev C R Brainard, rector of Christ Ch., Quincy.

In June, 1870, Henry T Milton, age 21, a clerk, was residing in the household of Samuel and Jane Hardwick, and their daughter Lucy F Hardwick, whom he would marry the following November. Henry, a commercial traveller, died at the age of 40y 3m --d of "larynigitis." He was married at the time of his death.

Lucy F Milton, a widow, died of pneumonia at the age of 41y 3m 12d. Her birthdate is calculated from that information. Her death record lists her parents as "Saml V & J M Newcomb." Her maiden name is not therein listed.

William's full name is listed in the record¹¹⁴⁸ for his membership in the Masons. That record also lists his birthdate and place of birth. That record is certainly for William son of Henry and Lucy as the marriage record for William H M Milton to Annie Carleton lists Henry and Lucy as his parents.
