John's middle name is given in the announcement of his impending marriage to Myra Smith in the Fort Wayne Sentinel, Fri, Sep 2, 1910 (newspaperarchive.com). Sadly, John died less than 2 years after his marriage of what was believed to be an attack of apoplexy. His obituary relates that he had been engaged in real estate in the Fort Wayne area for 22 years. He had been born on a farm 4 miles east of Lagrange, and remained at home with his parents until he finished his education. He then went to Fort Wayne and successfully operated a florist business until, ~1902, he became interested in real estate. John was a thirty-second degree Mason, a Knights Templar and a Shriner. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and was survived by his wife and two brothers, Wiliam J and Allen J Vesey, both of Fort Wayne.
