Charles B Doe married Lydia A Veazie in 1879. In 1880, Caroline B Doe, Charles' mother, resided with Charles and Lydia in Corinth. From that information, it is assumed Charles is the son of the William and Caroline Doe appearing in Corinth censuses in 1860 and 1870. In 1860, Charles appears as "Charles B," and, in 1860, 1870 and 1880, Caroline was listed as born 1815-1817. In 1900, Charles lists his birthdate as Nov 1856. An earlier year for his birth is more likely as he is listed (presumably by his parents) as age 8 in 1860, and age 17 in 1870. Charles and Lydia continued living in Exeter from 1900 through 1920.

Lydia lived with her parents in 1860 and 1870. In 1880, following her marriage²³¹⁷ to Charles B Doe, she appears with him in Corinth. In 1900, Lydia is listed as the mother of 1, none living, as son Elijah had died in 1892. Lydia died suddenly of "dilation of heart" in 1922, on her birthday, according to Maine records²⁴⁸⁹. Charles survived her.
