This was the second marriage for James, and the third marriage for Mary. Mary had married first William Burt, and second Richard Brackett, son of Joseph.

Sprague841 has James' death as 1784, ae. 72, from the Hancock Cem. gravestone. Brackett991 has death date 1781, as does Pattee687, 122: in the Brackett family tomb, Hancock Cem., "Mr James Brackett, his son [of Nathaniel Brackett], who died 1781, aged 72 years." Given the age at death, 1781 seems more likely.
