The engagement announcement for granddaughter Anne Wyman Veazie to Willis C Schaupp mentions that Anne is a granddaughter of Mrs. Duncan William Eberts and the late Dr. Eberts of Montreal. His death date and place are guesses based on daughter Margaret's birthdate and place and wife Maud being listed³¹⁰⁰ as a widow in the 1900 census.

Maud's maiden name is listed⁵²⁷ in the California death index. Her mother's maiden name was Hart. Her birthdate is a combination of "July 1862," listed in the 1900 census, and "July 15, 1861," listed in the CA death index. A birthyear of 1862 is preferred as records for which she is likely the source indicate that to be more likely. A wedding announcement in The Oakland (CA) Tribune (newspapers.com), May 16, 1945, for Barbara Alston Williams to Capt Willard A Smith, U. S. Army, mentions the bride's grandmother, Mrs Duncan William "Everts;" the maid of honor, her cousin Miss Ann Veazie; and Rev Henry P Veazie who conducted the ceremony.
