Lloyd's middle name is listed²⁰⁷² in the record for his marriage to Katherine Fiedeke. In 1903, the Goshen (IN) Daily Democrat, Dec 10, reported that Lloyd Vesey, son of Marshal Ed. Vesey, had taken a position with the Western Union. The Goshen (IN) Weekly News Times, Apr 1, 1904, reported that Lloyd Vesey had resigned his position as Western Union messenger to take a similar position with Postal Telegraph. In 1909, he accepted a position as telegraph operator in Indianapolis. In 1910, it appears that Lloyd is listed as a machinist in a motor works. However, his 1917 WWI draft registration lists his occupation as manager for the Postal Telegraph Corporation in Goshen, IN. The Goshen (IN) Daily Democrat, Aug 9, 1917, reported that Mr and Mrs Lloyd Vesey were spending their honeymoon in Chicago. In 1920, Lloyd was a telegraph operator. In 1930: manager for Western Union. In 1940: telegraph operator for a commercial telegraph co. In 1942, he was employed¹⁷⁰ by The Western Union Telegraph Co., of Chicago; he worked for Western Union in Angola, IN.
