Julia and Herbert were married by Miran Prall, pastor. Witnesses were William W Chapion and H H Veazie, both of Detroit.

Herbert's full name is listed¹⁵²³ in his marriage record to Julia May Veazie. At the time of his marriage he was a bookkeeper. In1920, Herbert was listed¹⁵⁵⁷ as an accountant for a valve(?) company. In 1930, Herbert was listed¹⁵⁵⁰ as a levy clerk for the city treasurer. At the time of his death³¹⁴⁹, Herbert was a Senior Clerk at the City Treasurer's Office.

Julia's middle name is listed¹⁵²³ in her marriage record to Herbert Stanton. A surviving sister, Mrs Herbert Stanton is mentioned⁵²⁹¹ in the 1943 obituary of Julia's sister, Blanche (Veazie) Smith.

Julia's 1947 obituary⁵²⁹² mentions surviving children: Gordon W, Warren J, and Mrs Marian Hitchcock; surviving sister Mrs Carl L Wilber; grandchildren Gordon B., Jr., and Linda Kay.

In 1920, Gordon, age 18, is listed¹⁵⁵⁷ as a mail order clerk. In1930, Gordon resided¹⁵⁵⁰ with his parents, and was listed as a foreman for an auto factory.

Child 2. Charlotte

Charlotte died at the age of 9m 21d of infantile cholera.
