In 1945, Paul H Hardwick, age 28, b Mass, is listed with Minnie D Hardwick, age 26, b Fla, housewife, and Fred(e)rick H Hardwick, age 0. It is assumed Minnie is Paul's wife and Frederick is their son.
In 1940, Paul resided with his mother, the superintendent of the institution, in the Whaley Memorial Home in Flint, MI. He was a clerk at an automobile factory. In 1945, Paul's occupation3209 was "Air Corps."
Paul served4237 as an Army Air Corps officer (originally at Drew Field in Tampa, FL). He then worked for the Chevrolet Division of General Motors in Michigan for 30 years and Indian Shores, FL. He retired to Indian Shores (FL) and served as Mayor of Indian Shores. He was survived by 3 sons and a daughter.
Minna's obituary3210 provides much information on her life. She went to Plant High School (Gainesville?); graduated from Florida State and Cornell. At the time of her marriage, Paul Hardwick was an officer in the Army Air Corps at McDill AFB in Tampa. She and Paul resided most of the time (since their marriage?) in Michigan, visiting their home in Indian Shores in the winter. Surviving Minna were her husband, four children: Rick Hardwick; Paul Hardwick, Jr.; Dave Hardwick; Sherry (Hardwick) Gallagher; and five grandchildren.
