The 1930 census lists Frederick E Walker, age 27, b Mass, parents both born Mass, married at age 23, wife Florence, age 21, married at age 17, and daughter Phyllis. From this it assumed Fred is the son of Fred E and Mary (Page) Walker. The location is assumed from that census and Florence' birthplace of Connecticut.
Fred and Florence were apparently divorced sometime in the 1930s, as Florence appears to have remarried by 1940. Fred may have also remarried by 1940, as Fred E Walker, age 37, b Mass, residing 1935 in Bridgeport, CT, is listed in Stratford, CT, with wife Alice G Walker, age 28, b Connecticut, having resided in the same house in 1935.
In 1930, Florence appears as the wife of Frederick Walker, with daughter Phyllis, age 2 and 11 months. In 1940, Florence Milne, age 30, appears as the wife of James F Milne, with a step-daughter Phyliss (sic) Walker, age 12. It is assumed that Florence and Phyllis Walker in that record are the previous wife and daughter of Frederick Walker. The Social Security Death Index92 lists a Florence Milne, b 9 Apr 1909; she died 8 Jan 1990. This may be the Florence that married first Fred Walker; married second James Milne.

If the assumptions concerning Phyllis' mother Florence are correct, i.e., Florence married second James Milne, b Scotland, then Phyllis married Frank Lytle(sp), as the obituary3235 for James Milne mentions survivors Mrs Florence Milne and step-daughter Mrs Frank Lyke/Lylte(?). James collapsed and died while playing with his stepdaughter's children.
