The 1930 census for Oakland, CA, lists William Ford as married first as age 25; Grace as married first at age 40 or 41. The marriage date given here assumes this was Grace's first marriage.
William's obituary mentions surviving wife Grace E Ford; sisters Mrs Daniel Murchie and Mrs Charles MsFarlin; and brothers George, Clarence and Harry Ford. Services were performed at the California Crematory. The 1920 census for Oakland, CA, lists William's parents as born in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, respectitvely.

However, the 1880 census for Camden, ME, where she resided with her parents, lists her age as 2. The 1910 census for Lowell, MA, lists a Grace E Banks, a boarder, age 32, single, a bookkeeper in a jewelry store, born Maine, parents born Maine/Maine. There is, indeed, a Grace Evelyn Ford in the (ancestry.com) California Death Index, b 25 Jan 1878, Maine; died 24 Jan 1953, Alameda, CA. Grace E Ford appears as the wife of William H Ford in the 1920, 1930 and 1940 censuses for Oakland, California. She was born ~1878 in Maine; both parents born Maine. That William H Ford was born ~1869, New Hampshire. Becky (Dow) Burnham, the daughter of Dow469 relates that Grace married, moved to Oakland, CA, and her father visited them there before he (Dow) went overseas in WWII in October 1944. There is no indication of children of the union of William H and Grace E Ford.
