Family of Truman Frederick FLUME and Helen (Nellie) Veazie SCOFIELD
Truman Frederick FLUME b. 1871 Aug1832 at Montgomery Co., NY3315.
Helen (Nellie) Veazie SCOFIELD b. 1870 Jan?1832 at Ontario Co., NY4707.
Married3312 1903 Jan 243312 at Rochester, NY3312. The announcement3312 is not entirely clear with regard to the day of the month of their wedding date. It may be Jan 26 or similar.
In 1875, Truman resided with his parents in Minden, NY. That census indicates that his father was born in Baden (Germany), and his mother in England. In 1900, Truman is living in Rochester, NY, in the household of Sarah Scofield and her daughter Helen. He lists his parents' birthplaces as Germany and England. Three years later, he and Helen Scofield would be married.
Helen's middle name is given in a newspaper article3312 stating that "cards have been received" announcing the marriage of "Truman Frederick Flume to Helen Veazie Scofield." Perhaps not coincidently, "Fred T Flume" boarded1832 in the household of Sarah and Helen Scofield in 1900.
Though her birthdate is listed1832 in 1900 as Jan, 1870, that's unlikely. Enumerated July 15, 1870, Sarah Hayden is listed1863 in the household of Sarah's parents, Cyrus and Mary Hayden. Daughter Helen Scofield doesn't seem to appear in records that year. In 1920, Helen V Flume is listed1833 as age 45 implying a birthyear of ~1875. In 1930, Helen is listed3311 as age 58, therefore born ~1872.
Helen may be the Helen S Dunn, age 69, widowed, listed1835 at 252 N Clinton Ave in Rochester, NY, in 1940. She may also be the Helen S Dunn who died (Rochester Daily Record, Oct 2, 1945; fultonhistory.com) on Sept 28 (1945), residence 46 N Clinton ave.
