Due to that estimated birth year, Abigail's maiden name for the marriage record944, the birth year estimated from age at death for Abigail (m.n. Crane), and Quincy the location for those references, it is assumed that George Baxter's wife Abigail is the daughter of Ebenezer and Ruth Crane.
George and Abigail were married by Rev Peter Whitney (Wm. Sever's records). The marriage record for George Baxter, Jr, and Elizabeth Ellison lists George's parents' name, but not his mother's maiden name.
