Maria R SPRAGUE b. 1821 Aug~³⁹⁵. d. 1858 Jun 19³⁸⁸. bd. cem. east side, upper end, Islesboro, ME³⁹⁵.

Married³⁸⁸ 1841 Jan 11³⁹⁸.

Farrow³⁹⁵ lists a gravestone for John Veazie in a cemetery "on the east side, upper end" of the island of Islesboro. John may have been at sea when the 1850 census was enumerated as his first wife Maria and children are listed in the household of John's brother Rufus. In 1860, he, second wife Deborah, his children from his first marriage, and Deborah's children from her first marriage, are living in Islesboro.

Bangor Historical Magazine³⁸⁸ has a death date for Maria of January 20, 1855. Farrow³⁹⁵ lists a headstone for "Maria R., wife of John Veazie" in a cemetery "on the east side, upper end" of the island of Islesboro.
