The 1913 article4139 describing the death of Charles Hobart mentions surviving son Merrill, age 10. His brith record1767 provides his full name. A 1959 newspaper clipping4150 mentions the father of George Hobart as "Selectman" (Carlisle, MA).
In 1955, Mrs Merrill C Hobart, Bellows Hill road, Carlisle, MA, hosted4146 a meeting of the Woman's Branch Alliance at which the guest speaker was Mrs. Wendell R Hobart of West Quincy on the subject "Hummel Figurines."

The Lowell (MA) Sun, Jan 2, 1957, reported that Lieut (jg) George R Hobart visited his parents, Mr and Mrs Merrill C Hobart, Bellows Hill road (Carlisle, MA). In 1959, George, a lieutenant in the Naval Reserve, graduated4150 with a master's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts, and planned to go to Chicago July 1 to assume a business position. That article mentions his middle name.
