However, in addition to the Mass Marriage Index³²¹⁹, Edith M Stanley's birthdate in the Social Security Death Index⁹² matches Edith Ames birth record.Also, the U. S. Social Security records³³⁴⁶ for Dorothy Gertrude Stanley lists her parents as Raymond C Stanley and Edith M Ames.

In 1930, Raymond was a manager of a leather company.In 1942, Raymond lists¹⁷⁰ his employer as Hardware Mutual Fire Insurance Co-, 31 St James Ave, Boston.

An application⁴¹⁵² for a military headstone for Raymond was submitted by his widow, Eleanor(?) D Stanley, 327 North Taylor Avenue, St Louis 8, Mo., indicating Raymond had remarried. She has not been identified. That headstone application indicates Raymond served in the Quartermaster Corp (QMC Headquarters, Detachment 76th Div) as Sgt from Oct 1917 to Dec 1918, and received an honorable discharge.

Edith's birth record¹⁷⁶⁷ provides her middle name, birth date and place. Edith M Ames, Quincy, is listed in the yearbook "Microcosm" for Simmons College, Boston, MA, in the class of 1918.
