The wedding announcement⁴²¹³ for Lindy Leisher to Joel Kortus mentions Lindy's parents as Mr and Mrs Richard Leisher. An article⁴²¹⁴ describing Gail Leisher's college plans following graduation mentions that Gail is one of the four daughters of Mr and Mrs Richard D Leisher. In 1967, Rosalind filed⁴²¹⁵ for divorce from Richard. That newspaper record mentions the date of their marriage.

Richard worked¹⁷³⁵ as an engineer for the U. S. Soil Conservation Service. He may have had thespian inclinations as a Feb 1965 newspaper article (Lincoln NE Start) mentions Richard Leisher as a member of the cast in a presentation of the drame "Calculated Risk" at the Lincoln Community Playhourse. In 1970, the announcement⁴²¹⁶ for the award of a scholarship to Mrs Gail Leisher Dewey mentions that she was the daughter of Richard Leisher of Alexandria, VA.
