Married¹²³². Margaret appears as the wife of George L Sears in the 1860 census¹²³² in Crawford, NY, with children David, Charles and Henry. Following George's death, Maggie Sears has residing¹⁵⁶⁸ in her household in 1870, Eliza Arnott, of the right age to be her mother.

In 1855 and 1860, George was a teamster. In 1865, he is listed as a pedlar.

The 1872 probate records⁴²⁹⁴ of James D Arnott mention a sister Margaret A Sears "of the county of Dutchess [NY]."

Child 3. Henry

In 1870, Henry, residing with his widowed mother, worked in a wool mill.

Child 4. Emeline

In 1880, Emma resided with her brother David and other of her siblings. She worked in a woolen mill.

Child 5. Josiah

In 1880, "Joseph" Sears, age 17, resided with his brother David. That Joseph, assumed to be this Josiah, worked in a woolen mill.

Child 6. Frances

In the 1865 census¹⁸⁶⁵, enumerated in June, Georgianna Sears is listed as age 2 months. In 1870, Frances Sears, age 5, resided with widowed mother. It is assumed both listings are the same child. In 1880, Frances resided with her brother David and other of her siblings. At age 15, she was keeping house for the family, as the other 4 of her family were working in a woolen mill.
