Married⁴⁴⁴⁷ 1864 Aug 31⁴⁴⁴⁷. Mr and Mrs Lucius Vesey celebrated⁴⁴⁴⁷ their 66th wedding anniversary by staying home on Niles road, receiving some friends who brought gifts and flowers. They had resided at the same home for over 50 years.

Lucius' middle initial appears³¹⁴⁹ on his death certificate.

Lucius was a farmer, and he and Phoebe lived⁴⁴⁴⁸ on Niles road in St Joseph Township, Michigan, for 54 years.

Phoebe's middle name is given in her obituary⁴⁴⁵⁶. Her funeral services, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 11, 1936, were delayed until the following day because relatives in Chicago and South Bend were unable to reach St Joseph, MI, due to blizzard conditions. Phoebe was survived by a daughter Grace, living at home; son Guy Vesey; and a brother Delbert Birdsey of Niles road (St Joseph, MI).

Grace's middle initial appears on her headstone⁸⁴⁰. Her obituary relates that she was a prominent Royalton (MI) resident for many years, and had been confined to bed for about a month prior to her death. She movd to Royalton township at the age of 3 with her parents and resided on the Niles road for many years. Grace was an active member of the Scottdale Evangelical church, having been the secretary there for 21 years. Surviving was one niece, Mrs Marie Herring of Chicago, Ill.
