Married²⁸²⁵. David and Clarissa appear in the 1850 census²⁸²⁵ for Parma, NY. The will⁴⁴⁷⁷ for David Darling mentions wife Clarissa.

This David Darling (1793-1853) is assumed to be the son of David Darling: the will of the father⁴⁴⁷⁸ mentions son David, daughters Polly Veazie and Rebecca Eddy, and sons William and Henry. The will and probate of the younger David Darling⁴⁴⁷⁷ [FHL film # 511608, pp 476-479], mentions (among many) wife Clarrisa, sisters Polly Veazie, Sally Sampson, Nobby Ketchum, and Rebecca Eddy, and brothers George, Oliver, William and Henry. The legal notice⁴⁴⁷⁶ to the heirs and next-of-kin of David Darling mentions Polly Veazie and Rebecca Eddy.

David was a farmer²⁸²⁵ in 1850.

David died between July 11, 1853, the date he signed his will⁴⁴⁷⁷, and Nov 14, 1853, the date his will was probated. That is confirmed by a death notice⁵²⁸⁰ in the Franklin Democrat (Greenfield, MA), Aug 15, 1853: "In North Adams, 9th, David Darling of Parma, N.Y., 69."
