Horace Oscar Breiding was born4603 Apr 15, 1880, in Berlin, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada, to Philip Breiding and Sarah Ann Reist.

Mabel and Horace were divorced2072 March 19, 1908. A newspaper article (Goshen IN Daily Democrat, Mar 19, 1918) states that Horace O Breiding was granted a divorce from Mabel Vesey Breiding that afternoon. Horace then married second Lillian Belle Baker, on Jun 15, 1908, in Goshen, Indiana. Lillian Belle was born Mar 16, 1885, in Middleburg, Indiana, the daughter of Jacob Baker and Amanda Hamming(?).

At the time of Horace' 1918 draft registration, he resided at 212 So Cottage Ave, in Goshen, IN, and was a cashier for the New York Central Railway. He listed his nearest relative as his wife "Lillian Belle." His WWII draft registration170 card lists his birthdate and birth place, and his address as 105 N Orchard St, Kendallville, Indiana. He was still employed by the New York Central Railroad in Toledo, OH, and Horace worked at the freight office on Oak St in Kenallville.

Horace' birth record4603 lists his birthplace as Berlin, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The name Berlin was changed to Kitchener during World War I due to the enmity of the non-German residents within the city and throughout Waterloo County.

Mabel was married first in 1902 to Horace Breiding. Following their divorce, Mabel Vesey, status divorced, appears2090 in the 1910 census in Goshen, Indiana, residing with her mother Fanny, and Fanny's second husband, Henry Vesey (the brother of Mabel's father Edgar Vesey).

A news article (Goshen, IN, Weekly News Times, Jul 11, 1913) mentions that a position of sales lady under the employ of Miss Blanche Davis, milliner, was made vacant by the departure of Miss Mabel Vesey, "who is now in Brownsville, Neb."

Following husband Wenzel Vesey's death, Mabel, a widow, appears1713 in the 1930 census, residing at 16587 Linwood in Detroit, MI.

The 1962 obituary3158 of Mabel's brother Lloyd mentions surviving sisters Mrs Mabel Gutteridge of Detroit, and Mrs Irene Ewing of Pasadena, California.
