Married⁴⁷²⁴ 1965 May?³³⁴⁶. The obituary⁴⁷²⁴ for Margaret (Flack) Bailey mentions surviving daughter Mrs Rushmore R Valentine Jr. It is assumed that refers to her daughter Nancy. Nancy's social security application notes her name was listed as Nancy Bailey Valentine, May 1965. That may be the approximate date for her marriage, as the engagement of Nancy Elizabeth Bailey to Rushmore R Valentine, Jr, was announced in Aug, 1964 (Rome (NY) Daily Sentinel, Aug 24, 1964; fultonhistory.com).

The 1976 obituary⁴⁷²⁶ for Rushmore's mother, Adelaide (Jones) Valentine, mentions surviving son Rushmore R Valentine, Jr, and grandchildren Beth and Susan Valentine.

Birth announcements^{4725 4727 4728} imply that daughters were born to Mr and Mrs Rushmore R Valentine, Jr, in 1965, 1966, and 1968. At present, only two daughters, Beth and Susan, have been identified.

Rushmore grew up⁴⁷²⁹ on Long Island, NY, and was graduated from Friends Academy in Locust Valley. He served in the U. S. Army Air Force during and after World War II, and lated moved with his father and uncles to College Hill, NY, in 1947. He attended Columbia University and worked Cities Service Petroleum Co., Bogota, Columbia, for a short time. He is listed as Class of '51 at Hamilton College.

He was employed by Rochester Products (containers and fuel injection systems) for 25 years until he retired in 1992. He died in 2005, predeceased by his wife, and survived by two daughters, Beth Quattrociocchi and Susan Schultz, three grandchildren and a sister.

Susan Valentine was born⁴⁷²⁸ Nov 14, 1968. A public records entry²¹⁵⁹ places both Susan T Valentine (born Nov 14 1968) and Rushmore R Valentine, Jr, at 80 Church Hill Rd, Henrietta, NY, in 1994.
