Family of Simon CROSBY and Anne BRIGHAM

Simon CROSBY b. 1609~4818 at (prob) Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, Yorkshire, England4818. d. 1639 Sep4818 at Cambridge, MA4818.

Married4818 1634 Apr 214818 at Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, Yorkshire, England4818. Anderson4818, p 235 (Simon Crosby), references Crosby Genealogy, 56, for the date and place of the marriage of Simon Crosby and Ann Brigham.

Crosby4817 has Simon Crosby, husbandman, aged 26; his wife, Ann, aged 25; and their son Thomas, aged eight months; setting sail aboard the ship "Susan and Ellen," from London, England, for New England. Simon's age, as listed, appears to be the source of his estimated birth date. Anderson4818 has much the same information, and adds that Simon was the son of Thomas and Jane (Sotheron) Crosby of Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, Yorkshire, referencing a 1914 publication by Eleanor Frances Davis Crosby, "Simon Croby the Emigrant," Boston:1914. Anderson also provides a reference to Crosby4817, as well as other Crosby genealogies.
