Married1476 1829 Feb 51476 at Perry Township, Geauga Co., OH1476. Eunice Ford and Benjamin Gibson were married by D Robbins, Just of the Peace.

The 1860 census835 for Perry, OH, lists Benjamin Gibson, age 60, a farm laborer, born in New Jersey. Residing with him were Eunace(sic), age 45, born Vermont, and four children: Elizabeth, Charles, Vashti and La Mar.

At this time (June, 2017), research for Benjamin and Eunice (Ford) Gibson is incomplete. The following information has been found but not processed:

This Benjamin may be the Benjamin Gibson listed in the 1830 census for Painseville, Ohio, and the 1840 census for Perry, Ohio. In 1830, the household of Benjamin Gibson included 2 males, 20 & under 30; 1 female under 5; and 1 female 10 to 15 yrs. In 1840, the household of Benjamin Gibson comprised 2 males under 5; 2 males 5 & under 10; 1 male 40 & < 50; 1 female under 5; 1 female 5 & under 10; and 1 female 20 and under 30.

- In 1870, Benjamin Gibson, age 69 and born in New Jersey, resided in Spring Creek, Kansas, in the household of Joseph and Vashti N Skelton. Vashti was age 24, and born in Ohio. Three children are listed: Elmer, Blanche and Fred.

- In 1880, Joseph and Nellie V Skelton, with children Elmer, Blanch, Frederich and Edward, resided in Spring Creek, Kansas.

In 1910, Nellie Skelton, age 70, born Ohio, widowed, fath born New Jersey, moth born Vermont, resided in Joplin, Missouri.

- The death certificate (Missouri Digital Heritage website, image of death certificate) for Mrs Joseph Skelton lists her birthdate as Apr 12, 1848, born in Ohio. She died Feb 18, 1916, in Joplin, Missouri. Her parents are listed as Benj Gibson and Eunice ---. The informant for the certificate was E E Skelton of Joplin, MO. Mrs Skelton was buried Feb 20, 1916, in Mt Hope Cem., Joplin, MO.
