Married4282 1860~5311. The will and probate records4282 of William T Barkley mention niece Hannah C Crosby and her husband Robert M Crosby. Other information indicates Hannah is Hannah C Bull, dau of William Barkley's sister Maria and David C Bull.

The obituary5311 for Hannah Bull Crosby states she and Robert Crosby were married about 1860.

The Port Jervis (NY) Evening Gazette, Jul 20, 1869 (fultonhistory.com) reported that the annual meeting of the stockholders of the Middletown and Crawford Railroad was held in Bullville the previous evening. Directors for the company elected for the ensuing year included Robert M Crosby (of the town of Crawford.)

The Port Jervis (NY), December, 1874 (fultonhistory.com) reported that the "Crawford Grange" had been organized on Nov 27. Among the officers was "Overseer, Robert M Crosby.

The 1880 will4282 of William T Barkley mentions a bequest to Robert M Crosby and Hannah Crosby his wife. In the probate of that will is mentioned Hannah Crsly(sic) of Crawford, NY, as a niece to William Barkley. In 1880, Robert M and Hannah C Crosby appear1246 as husband and wife in Crawford, NY. It is assumed from that information that Hannah C Bull, the daughter of William Barkley's sister Maria Barkley Bull, married Robert M Crosby.

A Crosby monument840 in Hopewell Church Cem., Pine Bush, NY, reads: "Robert M Crosby / 1836 - 1900 / His Wife / Hannah C Bull / 1836 - 1907."

The obituary5311 for Mrs Hannah Bull, widow of Robert M Crosby, states she died Tuesday noon (Jan 14) at her home at Thompson Ridge, after a lingering illness of diabetes and complication of diseases, aged about 72 years. She born on the Bull homestead farm near Bullville and was the daughter of Hon. and Mrs David C Bull. She married Mr Crosby about 1860. Crosby died about 8 years previously. They had no children.

Hannah Bull Crosby was survived5311 by 4 sisters: Mrs Florinda Crawford and Miss Sarah Bull of Bloomingburg; Mrs Mary Decker of New Jersey; and Mrs Jane Copley of New York City.
